Island-wide general clean-up commences in St. Eustatius

ST. EUSTATIUS--An island-wide general clean-up of St. Eustatius has commenced on Monday. Statia Waste Solutions announced a schedule for the coming two weeks during which crews will move through specific areas.

Persons are advised to take advantage of the clean-up crews in their neighbourhoods to get rid of unwanted debris in their yards.

The joint clean-up campaign commenced Monday in the north side of Oranjestad, Duggins and Paramiraweg. The clean-up campaign will continue today, Tuesday, July 17, in Country and Lower Cherry Tree.

On Wednesday, July 18, Golden Rock and Bay Brow will be the focus of the day, to be followed by Jeems and Zeelandia on Thursday, July 19.

The general clean-up will continue on Monday, July 23, with the southside of Oranjestad from Carlos Lopes across to Wilhelmina Park and the Chinese supermarket. On Tuesday, July 24, the clean-up crew will move to Upper Round Hill and Upper Cherry Tree.

Rosemary Lane and Whitewall will be cleaned-up on Wednesday, July 25, and on Thursday, July 26, Lodi, Princess, Chapel Piece and Newton Pasture will be handled.
