A house in the upper reaches of St. James was destroyed by fire Sunday morning. Fortunately there were no injuries or loss of life, but the occupants of the house had to be temporarily relocated
. Capitaine Emmanuel Maignan said no other houses were affected. He said the fire was accidental, preliminary indications pointing to an electrical fault. The fire took about three hours to extinguish. Gendarmes closed-off a portion of Rue de Hollande to give fire engines easier access.
