Holy Week

Clergy of the Christian Council united to celebrate Palm Sunday in Philipsburg on Sunday. Each year the Christian Council clergy hold an ecumenical Palm Sunday Service at Captain Hodge Square. Hundreds of parishioners participated in this year’s service, which included a procession up Front Street and down Back Street. Participants waved palm leaves symbolising the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem. This event marks the beginning of Holy Week for Christians all around the world. Visit the Facebook page of the Catholic Church (St. Martin of Tours Parish), for the schedule of upcoming activities, which will be streamed live on the Facebook page.
