A brush fire close to the RN7 between Bellevue and the Cole Bay border was extinguished quickly by the French-side fire brigade (pompiers) around midday Wednesday. This was the second fire in the same area. The first was a more extensive fire on the Lagoon side a few weeks ago that required temporary closing of the main road.
