Gumbs Jr. resigns from Voting Bureau

PHILIPSBURG--Patrice Gumbs Jr. tendered his resignation as member of the Central Voting Bureau on Monday, September 23.

  In the letter to Prime Minister Leona Romeo-Marlin with copies to Governor Eugene Holiday and members of the Central Voting Bureau, Gumbs indicated that the decision had been taken because endeavours he is currently pursuing conflict with his ability to execute his role as a member of the bureau.

  Gumbs, a member of the Bureau since June 2016, said it had been an honour and privilege to work alongside colleagues of such professional and capable esteem, and thanked the Prime Minister for the opportunity and the confidence entrusted in him to serve St. Maarten in this capacity.
