Gordon Carty, Doncher to be sworn in as Ministers Thurs.

PHILIPSBURG--Accountant and entrepreneur Pamela Gordon Carty and former Minister of Tourism Economic Affairs, Transport and Telecommunications (TEATT) Melissa Arrindell Doncher will be sworn in as ministers on Thursday, Prime Minister Silveria Jacobs confirmed late Tuesday evening.

  Carty will be sworn in as Minister of Health, Labour and Social Affairs VSA and Doncher will be sworn in as TEATT Minister. Current TEATT Minister Rene Violenus will be sworn in on Thursday as Minister Plenipotentiary. The swearing-in will bring the number of ministers in the council to six.

  Other ministers in the council, who were sworn in last week, are Jacobs as Prime Minister and Minister of General Affairs; Minister of Public Housing, Spatial Planning, Environment and Infrastructure and deputy Prime Minister Christopher Wever; Minister of Justice Egbert Doran, who was acting VSA minister in the interim; Minister of Finance and Acting Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Ardwell Irion; and Violenus.

  The council will remain with six ministers in the interim period.
