Despite an expensive electric fence around Fort Oranje and the Bay Path to stop goats from grazing and causing serious erosion, these two goats ignored the wire and tried to gate crash or “goat crash” the open-day party at Orange Bay Hotel, which was opened Thursday. “Not too difficult for them,” a resident of St. Eustatius said jokingly.
“The electricity is not turned on. There are warnings everywhere, but I guess goats are not good readers.”
