Preparation for the week of activities to mark Statia Day on St. Eustatius started on Thursday with rehearsals on the stage across from Charlie’s Place and Gertrude Judson Bicentennial Public Library.
The Mega D. Youth Foundation members were seen rehearsing on Thursday night for tonight’s event starting at 7:00. The Gospel Night will feature international gospel artist/evangelist Maxine Duncan along with a number of local solo acts, school groups and others. Eighteen booths selling local and international food and drinks will be along Fort Oranjestraat close to the stage. Russell Spanner and his team erected an awning over the veranda of Charlie’s Place to offer shelter to attendees.
