MARIGOT—Gendarmes have retrieved the body of a man floating in the water off Coralita Beach, near Oyster Pond. The discovery was made at around 1:00pm Tuesday when a passer-by reported the sighting to the Gendarmerie.
Lt. Colonel Sébastien Manzoni confirmed the body was a man of black or Antillean origin. For now, the incident is being treated as a suspected drowning. Manzoni said it was too early to say if a crime had been committed. An investigation has been opened into the death of the man.
