GEBE has problems during the weekend

CAY BAY--Utilities company GEBE’s power plant encountered issues with the high temperature water system of one of its largest production units over the weekend, according to the company on Sunday.

“Due to unstable water pressure, the protection devices tripped the production unit several times, which in turn caused power outages in particular districts throughout the day on Saturday,” stated GEBE.

Water interruption also became an issue in certain areas due to the loss of power.   GEBE’s technicians,  engineers and Water Operations spent their Saturday troubleshooting the issues to ensure that power and water would be restored to the community in the shortest possible time.

GEBE said it will continue to work on the engines and the systems in the power plant in the coming weeks to restore them.
