Minister of Tourism Stuart Johnson announced this past weekend that he recently received a commitment from Virgin Voyages which will be deploying its second cruise ship to St. Maarten for the 2021 tourism season. “As we continue to rebuild our tourism product and boost economic activity, this news and more of its kind signify that St. Maarten is on the path to recovery. This news means a great deal also in terms of our continued efforts to attract new investors to the island,” stated Johnson.

Virgin Voyages has some unique single-cabin designs that combine some of the world’s most advanced technology with sleek Italian styles and offer some of the most famous restaurants on the water. Virgin offers the cruising lifestyle the young and youthful have come to love and expect, and attracts a high-volume spending group. No more details about the expected commitment were given by the minister.
