WILLEMSTAD—Four men were killed in a drive-by shooting in Curaçao Saturday night.
They had been standing at Alaska Snack in Berg Altena when gunmen suddenly opened fire on them with automatic weapons from a passing car. One of the victims died on the spot and the other three en route to or at the hospital.
On Christmas Eve 2013 a shooting took place at the same spot, in which one man was killed and two injured.
Sources said three of Saturday night’s fatalities were bystanders, while the fourth was a known criminal who had most probably been the target. Unconfirmed reports said the latter had recently threatened others on social media.
Police have apparently already conducted a house search in connection with the crime.
