SABA/ST. EUSTATIUS--The Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment SZW is offering non-profit organizations on Saba and St. Eustatius extra support with applications for subsidy through “Opportunities for all Children.”

Nina Den Heyer will assist social non-profit organizations with their application, which can be submitted from May 1 to May 15, 2018. Den Heyer is scheduled to visit Saba and Statia in the week of Monday, April 16, through Thursday, April 19.

Subsidy applications for 2018 can be submitted from May 1, 2018, at 9:00am, to May 15, 2018, at 5:00pm.

Not-for-profit organizations, which are helping children that are growing up in a low-income family and are already doing “great work” on their respective islands are urged to submit an application, Government Department Caribbean Netherlands RCN said in a statement on Tuesday.

Opportunities for all Children is intended for children up to 17 years old, who are missing out on specific in-kind resources due to lack of money, such as swimming lessons, sports equipment, music lessons, or a healthy breakfast.

For the time, and up to and including 2021, one million euros have been earmarked annually for children in Bonaire, Statia and Saba.

Of this amount, 550,000 euros are available for Bonaire, 250,000 euros for Statia and 200,000 euros for Saba.
