POND ISLAND--Excitement is building for the first Caribbean Multihull Challenge regatta, says Tourism and Economic Affairs Minister Stuart Johnson of the event that is more than a month away on February 8-10, 2019.
The coming year will be a busy year for tourism and this new event will add to the excitement, said Johnson in a press statement on Sunday.
St. Maarten Yacht Club has organised this spinoff event of the St. Maarten Heineken Regatta.
Multihull vessels have always been a “sideshow” of a major regatta. This upcoming challenge celebrates the difference.
