‘Enchanted Forest’ theme for Prom 2017

MAHO--“Enchanted Forest” is the theme for Teen Times’ Prom Night 2017 set for Sunday, June 25, in Tantra Night Club and Sanctuary.

The “exquisitely formal affair” is intended only for the seniors of Milton Peters College, St. Dominic High, Vocational School, Academy PSVE, St. Maarten Academy, Learning Unlimited, Sundial, Caribbean International Academy and the Charlotte Brookson Academy.

Per usual, there will be no alcohol served at Prom Night and the after-party, which is still being discussed, should be held at the same location, said Coordinator of Teen Times Roosje Rommy-Richardson.

Prom Night will also feature The Cut Creator DJ Outkast who has been the DJ at the event approaching 10 times over the past 21 years. Entertainment will also include three-time Roadmarch King of St. Maarten “Rumer” and Soca sensation King James.

“We also like to showcase some of our local talent at Prom. Rumer and King James are more than capable of rocking prom Night and we are excited about their performances,” Rommy-Richardson said.

Prom Night will also feature the crowning of a Prom King and Queen, Prom Prince and Princess, Best Couple, Best Dress, Best Suit and a prize for the students who dress to the theme of the night.

“In our 21-year history we are very proud to have been able to host 21 Proms. The students are excited, the anticipation is high and we are eager once again to host the biggest end-of-the-year, exclusive event for high school seniors. We urge parents to get ready if they haven’t started already. A Prom can be a costly affair so you have to start early,” she added.

Entrance per student is US $20.
