Empowering youths

St. Maarten AIDS Foundation delivered more Real Talk and Girl Power workshops for Milton Peters College (MPC) VSBO-TKL 1 and Caribbean Certificate for Secondary level Competence (CCSLC) 1, students recently. The workshops were held over a three-day period for three-hours at a time and they equipped students with the tools needed to help them communicate the importance of self-value and dealing with peer pressure, amongst other things. During the sessions, students engaged in many interactive activities and were shown videos, which covered some of the topics. The Foundation thanked the persons who facilitated the workshops, noting that without them it would not be possible to provide the volume of information to the youth. Top and bottom photos show some of the many students who participated in the workshops and their facilitators.
