Drought causes STUCO to enforce water rationing

ST. EUSTATIUS--St. Eustatius Utility Company (STUCO) has initiated rationing of drinking water in St. Eustatius from Wednesday, May 1.

The island is currently experiencing a drought due to the dry season. Even with the recent heavy rainfall over the past couple of days, water rationing had to be implemented to avoid the water storage tank from being completely depleted.

The hours the water rationing will be in effect are from 5:00am to 8:00am and from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. The rationing will continue until further notice is given by the utility company.
