Trucks transporting uncovered garbage and other debris continue to be a hazard to other drivers and pedestrians.
Objects falling and/or flying from the open truck trays often become projectiles that other drivers need to avoid, and the fallen debris then becomes roadside litter. Despite rules against uncovered truck trays, debris coming off the backs of trucks continues to be a major issue, growing in severity since Hurricane Irma.
