Driver lost control goes for a swim

The driver of this small white car had a lucky escape when he ended up in the Bay of Marigot on Friday morning, managing to get out before the vehicle sank. Lt. Colonel Sébastien Manzoni from the Gendarmerie said the incident occurred at around 10:00am but added alcohol was not a factor in the accident. He added the driver lost control of the car at the fish market on the waterfront. The circumstances of the accident are under investigation. A crane was brought in to lift the car out of the water at 12:30pm.  (Photo Gendarmerie)
