  1. EUSTATIUS--Tropical Storm Dorian caused little damage in St. Eustatius when it passed the island on Wednesday. Rain, thunder and lightning during the day coupled with some wind that caused limited damage to the island.

Flights at F.D. Roosevelt Airport were slightly disrupted due to the passing storm. Flights that normally arrive at 7:20am arrived at 8:10am. The first flight was an islander and at 9:00am Winair aircraft touched down. Flights continued to land and take off during the course of the day.

The waves were high at Charles A. Woodley Pier and Fort Oranje Bay, and were coming over the breakwater rocks. These rocks were placed to stop the water from coming ashore. At the small pier, the water was crashing into the air over the boardwalk.

Many fishermen had removed their vessels from the water and from mooring against the pier. The boats that remained anchored in the harbour were being knocked about by the huge waves.
