MARIGOT--Dauphin Telecom has signed an agreement with Orange for deployment of fibre optic cable in St. Martin.

The agreement essentially divides the territory between the two infrastructure operators, marking a major step forward in cooperation, as the operators overlapped in several districts of the territory.

The agreement designates the operator responsible for deployment in each of the overlap areas, ensuring the best timetable and the best coverage proposed, for the benefit of consumers.

Orange will be responsible for the areas Anse Marcel, Cul-de-Sac, Mont-Vernon 1 (excluding the Résidence Hôtel Mont-Vernon and Résidence Quinoa groups), Mont-Vernon 2 and 3, Quartier d’Orléans, Oyster Pond, Concordia and Concordia Springs, Grand Saint-Martin, Galisbay, Friar’s Bay, Marigot, and Sandy Ground.

Dauphin Telecom is responsible for Orient Bay, Bellevue, Grand-Case, La Savane, Rambaud, St. Louis, Colombier, Pic Paradis, Mont Choisy, and the area of the former Hotel Mont-Vernon, Quinoa residence in Mont Vernon 1.

To offer all consumers diversified services, Dauphin Telecom and Orange have committed to be commercially present in the agreement areas, by subscribing to the wholesale offers of the one who will deploy the network locally.

The other market players will also be able to rely on the infrastructure deployed under the conditions defined by Autorité de Régulation des Communications Eléctroniques et des Postes (ARCEP), including by participating in their co-financing, to propose very high-speed commercial offers.

Dauphin Telecom is an independent electronic communications operator, operating in the Caribbean (Northern Islands, Guadeloupe, Martinique and French Guiana) in the personal and business markets since 1998 on mobile, fixed-line and Internet offers.

Dauphin Telecom has a unique local positioning in its market and combines several major assets that strongly differentiate the company: its perfect knowledge of local customers and their needs, a great agility in the implementation of innovative offers responding to local specificities. “Our main strength is our team.
