WILLEMSTAD--The people of Curaçao, Bonaire and further afield can support the survivors of monster Hurricane Irma via the ongoing One Love SXM mediathon.
United Telecommunications Services has enabled an SMS donation system that allows Chippie prepaid customers in Curaçao and Bonaire to make a donation for the one love effort. To help send a SMS to 4357 with the text “HELP” then the donation amount.
Donations made with Chippie Curacao numbers can be from minimum NAf 5 to maximum NAf 1,000. Donations made form Chippie Bonaire numbers can be minimum US $ 2.79 and maximum US $558.65.
The mediathon also has a call center for donations. Call 101 free from any Chippie and UTS landline.
The mediathon was in Sambil, a shopping mall, until 4:00pm. It moved to Brionplein where it will continue until 11:00pm.
