Census to relocate, service to change from August 1

POND ISLAND--Services at the Civil Registry Department (Census Office) will be available to the public temporarily by appointment only as of August 1, as the department prepares to relocate to the new Public Service Centre in the new Government Administration Building on Pond Island.

The temporary appointment-only system is to accommodate the Department’s relocation and downtime, an ad that appeared on the Government Information Page elsewhere in this newspaper highlights.

The Department says its Philipsburg branch will be closed from August 25 to September 4 and its Simpson Bay branch from August 28 to September 4. Persons will be able to book an appointment or contact the Department with questions by calling tel. 542-2457 or sending an e-mail to
