SIMPSON BAY--Kidz At Sea Foundation is offering a Carib Marine dinghy in its fundraising raffle. The dinghy was donated by Budget Marine and is part of the continuing partnership of the two organisations.
The donated dinghy is the first of a line of Carib Marine inflatables set to be sold at Budget Marine stores in July. The dinghies are targeted to the cost-conscious boater who still wants performance and a dry, comfortable ride.
Raffle tickets cost US $5 each. The dinghy is the top prize, but Foundation has many more goodies on offer in the raffle.
Funds from the raffle will aid the Foundation’s programme that brings awareness of the marine industry to youngsters finding their way in the professional marketplace.
Budget Marine representative Ellen van Holland-Little said “Being a major player in the marine industry we always struggle to find knowledgeable persons that can play a part in our organisation. This programme not only introduces youngsters to the sport of sailing, but also emphasizes the skillsets needed to be part of this industry.”
Garth Steyn, founder of the Kidz At Sea Foundation, added: “Budget Marine has been a good supporter of the programme and we need strong partners to continue to develop our programme and reach out to more students.”
