Minister of Health Emil Lee on Wednesday congratulated nurses on the occasion of International Nurses Day on May 12. “The public health system is driven and carried by our nurses.
These nurses are involved in our entire health care system. Not only do nurses deliver health care to patients, but they are also represented in management positions and policymaking. Many may not know this, but both my parents are doctors and I have grown up in a medical environment,” Lee said. “Throughout my life, I have seen the positive impact that nurses have on the lives of patients and I have always been very impressed by this. Thank you to all the nurses in our community, in all of the levels of our health care system. You are appreciated by the country.”
