Big investiture ceremony held at Seventh-Day Adventist Church

ST. EUSTATIUS--The Seventh-Day Adventist Church Youth Ministries Department conducted an investiture ceremony for Pathfinders, Adventurers and Eager Beavers upon the completion of their curriculum.

The long-awaited Investiture Service was held over the weekend at the Church at Newton’s Pasture. Joining the service were proud parents, relatives and other well-wishers and members of the church.

There were 53 Adventurers and Pathfinders present and ready for investiture. In total, the North Caribbean Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists recorded a whopping 138 Adventurers and Pathfinders making this the largest investiture service of its kind in the North Caribbean Conference.

The Pathfinders are a worldwide organization of young people sponsored by the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Young people of any religious persuasion or without any religious affiliation at all are also welcome and encouraged to join the organization

The organization offers a wide range of activities including camping and survival skills, grade-appropriate leadership training, activities promoting community and environmental pride through involvement in outreach activities, such as the distribution of food for the disadvantaged, cleaning and maintaining parks, as well as visiting and encouraging the elderly.

Youth and Chaplaincy Ministries Director of the North Caribbean Conference of Seventh-Day Adventists Vincent A. David supervised the service. He is presently conducting a Family Life Revival in St. Eustatius.
