ANGUILLA--Seven bartenders in Anguilla recently competed in a competition organised by Anguilla Life Magazine, in cooperation with Tropical Distributors and Angostura.
Seven bartenders competed from five hotels, Cap Juluca, CuisinArt, Four Seasons, Malliouhana and Zemi, and two restaurants, DaVida and Straw Hat. They created colourful concoctions and had to use Angostura 7 rum, as well as Angostura Bitters as partial ingredients.
The judges were Taste of the Caribbean gold medal winner Lavon Richardson, Jacquie Ruan from Ripples Restaurant and Ron Webster, Taste of the Caribbean three-time Best Caribbean Bartender.
The winner will be announced in May during the island’s 50th Anniversary celebrations.
