AIDS Foundation observes International World AIDS Day

PHILIPSBURG--In observance of World AIDS Day, St. Maarten AIDS Foundation delivered a presentation on HIV/AIDS to Port St. Maarten employees on Monday, December 2.

  The foundation was approached by Adelena Schaap-Chandler of the Port St. Maarten Human Resource Department for the initiative, the foundation said in a press release on Tuesday.

  AIDS Foundation Project Coordinator Liska Busby and Community Liaison Officer Alicia Torres spoke to 35 Port employees, sharing information about HIV/AIDS and the International World AIDS Day celebration.

  After the presentation the foundation provided free HIV testing to those in attendance.

  The foundation was presented with a donation on behalf of Port St. Maarten. St. Maarten AIDS Foundation expressed gratitude for this gesture.
