2 shelters identified to be open if needed

PHILIPSBURG--Prime Minister Leona Romeo-Marlin said on Wednesday that two shelters have been identified and are being prepared to be opened if needed as a result of Tropical Storm Jerry, which is expected to further strengthen and become a hurricane today, Thursday, and pass St. Maarten tomorrow, Friday.

Romeo-Marlin said during the Council of Ministers press briefing that the Christian Fellowship Church in Cole Bay and Milton Peters College (MPC) in South Reward are being prepared to be open if this becomes necessary.

More information will be provided as to the timing of the opening of the shelters, she said.
