COLE BAY--Self-defence and Kickboxing classes for children age 5 and up have returned. Medal winning instructor Melissa Bardfield has re-opened SXM BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.) Classes are held at Wellington Road 15 in Cole Bay opposite PDG restaurant supply store.
“It was important for us to help kids return to normalcy as soon as possible,” said Bardfield. Bardfield began training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in London in 2006 and started teaching BJJ in St Maarten in 2010.
