Statia Softball celebrates successful 2018 season

ST. EUSTATIUS – The St. Eustatius Softball Association celebrated a successful 2018 season.  2018 was quite challenging for the softball board.
 They had rain delays, tropical storms and many other issues.
  The Lions were crowed the 2018 Champions. They swept (3-0) Thunderz 
  The Lion’s Osandey Beete was named Most Valuable Player of the year.  Ashanto Jarvis (Young Kings) and D’Shandre Turner (Los Tiburones) were named the 2018 Rookies of the Year. 
  The Most Outstanding Player award went to Javier Batista (Thunderz), the Most Outstanding Pitcher was Garry Brown (Lions), the Most Outstanding Batter went to Carlos Sanchez (Lions), and Gervio Spanner (City Boys) was named the Home Run Champion.
  Six teams Dynamite, City Boys, Thunderz, Young Kings, Los Tiburones and the Lions competed in 2018. 
The softball board consisted of Alex Arndell (President), Elvin Henriquez (Vice President), Elske Gibbs (treasurer), Hadaki Mitchell (secretary), Riana Bennett (assistant secretary), James Marlin (board member) and Edward Durant (board member.)
