St. Maarten Golf Association honours  Howard Hobgood’s 25 years of service

Paul Soons, Jacob Streefkerk and Arun Jagtiani win Three person’s Howard Hobgood scramble at Mullet Bay Golf Course Saturday.

 

MULLET BAY— The St. Maarten Golf Association organized a tournament to honour Howard Hobgood who managed the Mullet Bay Golf Course for more than 25 years and providing golf lessons and advanced training for youths and adults.

  Hobgood has left St. Maarten with his family for a new opportunity.

  The 3-person scramble tournament was held on Saturday. On the wellwell-manicured golf course the team of Jacob Streefkerk, Paul Soons and Arun Jagtiani won the day with a score of 64 net. Several other teams were very close.  Second place went to Brigitte Devaux, Sam Bashir and Safin Bashir. Third was Lee Hallam, Brian Boekhoudt and Sitra Scott.

 This event drew 10 teams of 3 golfers to the course.
