TRINIDAD--The Sint Maarten Martial Arts Federation (SMMAF) Muay Thai kickboxing team delivered a flawless performance at the Trinbago Island Fights event in Trinidad on Saturday, August 23, 2025, winning all four of their bouts.
The event featured a 10-fight card, with four of the matches showcasing fighters from Sint Maarten. The team’s exceptional skill and training were on full display as they secured victories in every fight they entered.
Match results for the Sint Maarten fighters were as follows:
*Justice Lawrence (Sint Maarten) defeated Liam Jackson (Trinidad) by judges decision in a three-round match.
*Guiddell Jean-Fort (Sint Maarten) won by decision against Josue Saint-Aime (Martinique).
*Omarion Thomas (Sint Maarten) secured a victory by T.K.O against Junery Brammerloo (Suriname).
In addition to his victory, Justice Lawrence also participated in an exhibition fight against Dante Jones from Trinidad, which he dominated. As it was an exhibition match, no scores were recorded.
*The main event of the night saw Trinity Romney face Richinel Pinas from Suriname, with Romney winning by judges decision from Pinas.
Jean-Fort's win was icing on the cake as he had just turned 16-years-old. He arrived at the airport (PJIA) on Monday, ahead of the rest of the team arriving today Tuesday.
“It was my first Muay Thai fight, and I really enjoyed it ,” he told The Daily Herald. “It was exciting. The rules are different, there’s a lot of clinching. I’m looking forward to more fights now.”
