Rugby legend Serge Blanco meets young Archiball players

MARIGOT—Former French Rugby legend Serge Blanco was in St. Martin recently to meet young Rugby players from “Les Archiball” club at a meeting organised by Semsamar at Waikiki Restaurant, Orient Beach, on Saturday evening.

It was a treat for the young players and fans to meet the legendary Rugby star and have autographs signed by him.
The occasion also permitted Semsamar to donate a cheque for 1,000 euros to the Archiballs Club to support the club’s activities. A partnership agreement was also signed between President of Semsamar Wendel Cocks, Director General of Semsamar Marie-Paule Bélénus Romana, and the President of the Archiballs Club, David Rondeau, to support the club.
Serge Blanco played for Club Biarritz Olympique from 1974 to 1991 as full back or on the wing. During his career playing for France between 1980 and 1991 he won 93 caps, 81 of them as a full back. He still holds the record for the most tries scored for France at 38.
