Primary School Netball Championship starts Sunday program with five games

PHILIPSBURG--Hillside Christian School clobbered St. Joseph School in the first game of the Interscholastic Primary School Netball Championship at the L.B. Scott Sport Auditorium on Sunday. Also in Pool A MAC J.A. Gumbs bested MG De Weever School 4-1 and Leonald Conner beat Hillside Christian 9-4.


In Pool B MAC J.A. Gumbs 2 defeated Sister Borgia 8-5 and Seventh-Day Adventist blasted Dr. Martin Luther King School 19-2.
The competition was officially opened by the Minister of ECYS Drs. Rudolf Samuel.
The nine primary schools encompassing ten teams that are participating in the Interscholastic Primary School Championship 2022 marched into the auditorium proudly displaying their school flags.
Also present were Bianca George, Assistant Secretary of the St. Maarten Netball Association (SMNA) keynote address by Richard White, principal MAC J.A. Gumbs, Aartwich Bell, president St. Maarten Sports and Olympic Federation and Micheal Cornet, director National Sports Institute.
The championship will be played every Sunday starting at 4:00pm (except June 5th) to June 26.
