Philips crowned 10-Ball Champ

MADAME ESTATE--After five rounds of play, Junior Philips won the St. Maarten National Billiard Federation’s 10-Ball Championship for 2016. The competition started September 12.


     The St. Maarten National Billiards Federation has divided their shooters into divisions. The elite eight compete in the Top League, while players nine to 16 shoot it out in the A-Ranking Division. Seventeen to 25 compete in the B-division.
  Philips faced John Vo in the final a race to 10 games.  Philips won 10-9.
  In the semi-final Philips faced Robby York in a race to nine games.  Philips won 9-7. In the other semi, Vo took on Michael Parris and won 9-7.
  Tournament play continues Sunday. Top League will compete in 8-Ball at the 8-9 Pool Bar and the A-League will shoot it out at Café Rembrandt.  First break at both locations is set for 3:00pm.
