Josephine Mathew places second at IFBB Pro Diamond Cup in Barbados

MARIGOT--Bodybuilding and Fitness Association of Saint Martin (BFASM) was well represented in Barbados over the weekend at the International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB) Pro Diamond Cup, where local Bikini champion Josephine Elvina Mathew placed second in her category before advancing to the overall where she placed fourth.

“This was her first competition for the year and once again she is proving she has what it takes to stand out against some of the best in this sport,” noted coach and BFASM President Francois Carty.
“We are back to the drawing board in preparation for the home competition when we will be hosting the first IFBB Pro Diamond Cup on July 28 at Sonesta Maho Beach Resort, where the best-of-the-best from around world will be competing in two amateur divisions, seeking to become Pros and a separate Pro event.
“We encourage the general public to come out and support our local athletes from both sides of the island. Once again, big appreciation to the Collectivité of Saint-Martin, Vice-President Valérie Damaseau, sponsors and supporters for making it happen. At BFASM "We Don't Stop Moving."
