Guatemala and Jamaica book Nations League Quarterfinals spot

Guatemala vs Suriname

MIAMI – The Group Stage in League A for the 2026/2027 Concacaf Nations League concluded on Monday with Group B action as Guatemala and Jamaica advanced to the Quarterfinals.

The League A Quarterfinals matchups are now set as follows:

Panama vs. Curaçao

Canada vs. Guatemala

United States vs. Haiti

Mexico vs. Jamaica

Martinique 1, El Salvador 1

The first encounter of the day featured a 1-1 draw between El Salvador and Martinique in Group B at Stade Municipal Pierre-Aliker in Fort-de-France, Martinique.

El Salvador took an early lead in the 3’, with Jefferson Valladares showing quick reflexes to pick up possession and strike from the center of the box.

Janis Antiste equalized for Martinique in the 56’ with a powerful hit from the center of the box after receiving a backheel assist from Brighton Labeau.

With the result, both Martinique and El Salvador will compete in the League A+C Play-In after finishing fifth and sixth respectively in Group B.

Guatemala 1, Suriname 0

Guatemala secured a valuable 1-nil victory over Suriname in Group B at Estadio Manuel Felipe Carrera in Guatemala City, Guatemala.

It seemed as if the match would finish scoreless, until Matthew Evans netted the winner for Guate-mala in the 90+6’ with a stunner from long-range.

With the result, Guatemala finishes first in Group B and qualifies for the League A Quarterfinals. Suri-name, meanwhile, are third in the group and will play in the Gold Cup Prelims.

Honduras 1, Jamaica 1

Group Stage action in League A wrapped up with a 1-1 draw in Group B between Honduras and Ja-maica at Estadio Nacional Chelato Uclés in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

Tyreece Campbell gave the visitors the lead in the 27’ through a hit from outside the box that bounced off the right post and into the back of the net.

Luis Palma leveled the scoring for Honduras in the 51’ with a wonder strike from long range.

With the draw, Jamaica finishes second in Group B and books a Quarterfinals berth. Honduras, meanwhile, placed fourth in the group and will play in the Gold Cup Prelims.
