Guadeloupe 0, Saint Lucia 1
Group B kicked off Monday’s action with a 1-nil Saint Lucia win over Guadeloupe at BFA Technical Centre in Bridgetown, Barbados.
The winning and only goal of the night came early on in the match after Kegan Caull controlled the ball into the box to send it past Guadeloupe’s defensive line, securing Saint Lucia’s third win in Group B.
Cuba 2, St. Kitts & Nevis 2
Group C saw a thrilling 2-2 draw between Cuba and St. Kitts & Nevis at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago.
Tiquanny Williams started the goal count for St. Kitts & Nevis with a right foot shot in the box in the 16’. Yunior Pérez was ready in the area to pull one back for Cuba in the 25’.
Williams secured a brace to put St. Kitts & Nevis ahead one more time from the penalty spot in the 63’. Cuba managed to stunt with an equalizer one more time in the 90’ with a left foot shot by Daniel Diaz.
Grenada 1, Bonaire 4
Bonaire delivered a goal galore performance with a 4-1 win against Grenada to secure first win in Group C at Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago.
Benjamin Ettienne was ready in the box in the 11’ to give Grenada the lead.
Bonaire didn’t take long to pull one back as Railey Martijn sent a left foot shot past Grenada’s goal-keeper in the 13’. Bonaire kept pushing in the second half, getting their second goal of the night in the 59’ thanks to Berry Sonnenschein.
Myron Bostdorp added one more goal to Bonaire’s account in the 67’. Ayrton Cicilia secured the fourth and final goal for his team in the 83’ after sending the ball with a right foot shot through three Grenada’s defenders to the back of the net.
Bermuda 1, Barbados 2
Barbados secured a third win in Group B after a 2-1 win against Bermuda at BFA Technical Centre in Bridgetown, Barbados.
After a goalless first half, Bermuda managed to open the goal count in the 75’ thanks to Djair Parfitt.
Barbados found an equalizer through a right foot shot by Thierry Gale from the middle of the box in the 79’. They completed their comeback in the 82’ after Gale found the back of the net for a second time in the match.
