HOPE ESTATE-- Some 34 two-wheelers with 29 riders coming from Guadeloupe, St. Eustatius, Saint Martin and St. Maarten, competed in the drag racing event organised by Association Moto Action du Nord Saint Martin (AMAN) on Sunday.
The results by category were as follows:
Scooter: 1. Ilegio Illidge (St. Maarten), 2. Checo Pichardo (St. Maarten), 3. Ethan Morvant-Chipan (Saint Martin, and the youngest participant in the competition at 12 years old).
TMAX: 1. Jeremy Joseph Harrigan (Saint Martin), 2. Ilegio Illidge (St. Maarten), 3. Adrien Lake (Saint Martin)
Street Bike B class (1,000cc): 1. De Ondre Hodge (St. Maarten), 3. Clement Prince (Saint Martin).
Street Bike Class A (1,000cc): 1. Gregory Bacha (Guadeloupe, he rode with the number 7 in honour of the late Julien Lemarchand who won the street bike category in 2024), 2. Luis Philips (Saint Martin), 3. Joel Hodge (Saint Martin).
Pro Stock: 1. Jamie Lopes (St. Eustatius), 2. Khalil Houtman (St. Eustatius), 3. Victor Hodge (Saint Martin).
Organisers said the event including the Security Village was a success, thanks to sponsors, volunteers, as well as the authorities who made the event possible. A bonus for spectators was a car show.
