Drag Race Training a huge success

POND ISLAND— The St. Maarten Drag Race Association (SMDRA) organized a 60-foot shoot-out training session at the Government building parking lot September 17. The aim was to teach the youth the essential knowledge of drag racing rules, regulations, and safety measures.

The initiative drew both women and men eagerly participating and successfully completing the training program. Each participant received a certificate and trophy to commemorate their dedication and hard work. Raymond Connor, President of the SMDRA, expressed his enthusiasm for this initiative, "This is just the beginning of our ongoing efforts to promote and nurture the sport of drag racing. Our aim is to equip all those interested with the knowledge and discipline necessary to advance this sport further on our beautiful island."

Making the program possible were sponsors The Port Authority, Best Buy Gas Station, Indulgence by the Sea, All Waste in Place, GEBE, Mario AC's, and CC1.
