Carib Swim Team wins Sonesta Maho Meet

COLE BAY--The Carib Swim Team won the Sonesta Maho Swim Meet at their pool in Cole Bay Sunday. Carib won the three day event which started Friday with 875 points. Sharks Swim Team was second with 262 points and Super Splash Swimming Team placed third at 192 points.


  Medals were awarded for each event to the top three finishers and Trophies were awarded to the age group category winners.

 Girls 7 – 8
Caeli President from Sharks topped the Girls age seven to age eight group with 35 points. Shark also took second and third place in the group.  Denecia Prince was second at    29 points and Brianna Williams was third with 22 points.Boys 7 – 8:
  Carib’s Miles Cheasley topped the Boys age 7-8 with 52 points. Super Splash swimmer Maik Croes was second with 40 points and followed by Maxime Gibbs with 38 points.Girls 9 – 10:
  The Sharks dominated the Girls 9-10 group taking the top three spots. Adaya Bourne was first with 41 points.  Arianna Lont was second with 34 points and Ce’Mara Atland had 24 points.Boys 9 – 10:
  Carib’s Matias Piazza took top honours in the Boys 9-to 10 group with 60 points. Nigel Fontenelle from Sharks was second with 27 points and Kemar Colli also a Shark had 17 points.Girls 11 -12:
  Isabeau Croes from Super Splash swam away with the Girls age 11 to 12 division Trophy.  She collected 54 points. Carib swimmer Juliette Pocovi was second on 25 points and Super Splash’s Dhrishti Shahani and Carib’s Grace Cheasley tied for third place with 22 points.Boys 11 -12:
  Carib Swim Team took all three places in the Boys 11-12 group.  Hugo Rindel was first with 60 points. Benjamin Pocovi was second on 32 points and Sacha Gibbs was third with 27 points. Girls 13-14
 Iris van den Oever won the Girls age 13-14 group with 48 points.Boys 13 – 14:
  Carib Swim Team dominated the Boys age 13-14 group taking the top three spots.  Vadym Semkiv was first at 46 points.  Nahel Ramanaidou was second at 33 points and followed by Devesh Mirpuri on 31 points.15+over
  Carib Swim Team also won all the awards in the 15+ group.  Naima Dessout was first in the Girls group on 42 points and Taffi Illis was second at 32 points.   Rashad Peterson was first for the Boys with 48 points and Erik Spit had 36 points.
