Elvina Matthew places third at the 45th CAC championship in Mexico

MARIGOT--St. Martin’s local bodybuilding bikini champion Josephine Elvina Matthew placed third in her category in the just concluded 45th Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Championship held in Mexico City.

Matthew was competing in the 1.68-metre bikini category with six other girls.
Some 24 countries and 175 athletes contested the championship. Elvina Matthew represented St. Martin and Bodybuilding and Fitness Association of St. Martin (BFASM) to record another well-deserved success.
“Words cannot express the joy of having St. Martin’s name called out on the podium,” remarked BFASM President, coach and international judge François Carty.
Carty disclosed at the CAC General Assembly that he was appointed Chairman of the Directors by elected President John Arendz. “This is another milestone accomplishment for St. Martin to be part of this executive table,” he added proudly.
The delegation is now back in St. Martin and back to work preparing for the Giovani Classic in Aruba in August.
“A big thank you to Collectivité First Vice-President Valérie Damaseau and all our sponsors and supporters. At BFASM we don’t stop moving,” Carty concluded.
