MARIGOT—St. Martin will be represented by athletes from Bodybuilding and Fitness Association of Saint-Martin (BFASM) at Arnold’s Sports Festival Europe taking place in Seville, Spain, on September 16-18.
The event is the largest multi-sports event in Europe. The St. Martin delegation is composed of International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB) Judge and BFASM President François Carty with athletes Bikini Fitness pro qualifier Laura Morville and Elite Pro Bikini Fitness Josephine Matthew.
Collectivité Vice-President in charge of Human Development, Dominique Louisy, Territorial Councillor in charge of the Sports Commission, Marc G. Menard, and President of St. Martin Tourism office Valérie Damaseau, have pledged to support the vision of the bodybuilding committee.
Menard understands the importance of sports promotion and is working closely with associations and all sports partners to strengthen this support. The Collectivité is committed to working towards an essential partnership to help local athletes and the sports industry.
Damaseau believes in using all means to create a strong tourism product that includes sports activities as a tool for promoting the destination. Sports tourism is one of these tools.
