Grenadian Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell accepts award after speaking at the Connected Caribbean Summit 2024 from event convenor Bevil Wooding
ST GEORGE’S, Grenada--Grenada will take centre stage in December 2025 as more than 200 regional and international leaders gather for the inaugural Connected Caribbean Summit (CCS2025), a high-level meeting aimed at fast-tracking solutions to some of the region’s most pressing challenges.
The Government of Grenada announced that the five-day summit, themed “Catalysing Caribbean Transformation,” will run from 1–5 December at the Radisson Grenada Beach Resort in Grand Anse. Organisers say the event is designed as a working summit focused squarely on implementation, not discussion for discussion’s sake.
The meeting is expected to draw Heads of Government, Chief Justices, regulators, CEOs, development partners, investors and civil society leaders from across the Caribbean and beyond. Officials say the goal is to move decisively on areas that underpin regional development, including economic resilience, digital innovation, justice reform, education modernisation, good governance and financial inclusion.
Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell said Grenada is honoured to host the region’s leadership at a time when coordinated action is needed most.
“By hosting CCS2025, Grenada is signalling its commitment to regional co-operation and to building a modern, resilient Caribbean,” Mitchell said. “We look forward to welcoming leaders, experts and investors to our shores to work with us on practical solutions that benefit our citizens and our region.”
Bevil Wooding, Executive Director of the Caribbean Agency for Justice Solutions and convener of the summit, stressed that the gathering is meant to produce immediate, tangible outcomes.
“CCS2025 is a working summit, not a talk shop,” Wooding said. “We are convening the leaders and institutions that have both the responsibility and the authority to act — so that ideas discussed in Grenada swiftly translate into concrete programmes, partnerships and investments across the Caribbean.”
A packed agenda
Among the featured events is the CCS Leadership Alliance, which will bring together Caribbean governments and regional institutions for closed-door and plenary sessions on shared development priorities.
A Justice Forum will run in parallel, focusing on whole-sector reforms to improve efficiency in justice institutions and expand access to justice.
Senior executives and policymakers will also benefit from CCS MasterClasses covering artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital transformation and education, led by regional and international experts.
Youth engagement will take centre stage at the CCS NextGen Forum, offering young Grenadians and Caribbean youth exposure to emerging career paths and direct dialogue with regional leaders.
Rounding out the programme is the Caribbean Innovation Showcase, featuring Grenadian and regional innovators, tech providers and solution partners presenting home-grown and international tools tailored to Caribbean needs. Cultural events hosted by the Government of Grenada will highlight the island’s people, culture and investment opportunities, while providing built-in networking spaces.
The summit aims to produce new initiatives to unlock financial investment and inclusion, tackle rising crime and insecurity, and bolster digital and climate resilience across Caribbean societies.
CCS2025 will be broadcast globally, with a dedicated media centre supporting real-time coverage, interviews and press briefings. Media houses interested in covering the event may contact the CCS Secretariat.
