Dear Editor,
Not too long ago I read in the paper that a group of police officers were given a weeks’ training on how to lead. I am eagerly looking forward to seeing when what was taught will be put into practice.
I do not know if there were changes made to the traffic ordinance, but it is a good while now that I am being confused in traffic because of the different colour lights, both in front and at the back of motor vehicles.
These lights on the vehicles are lit at night as well as during the day. And one is confronted by all categories of vehicles with several colours (head)lights. I have written the following before and will repeat it.
The government has to get rid of those elevated sidewalks in the Front Street in order to facilitate access to everyone delivering goods to businesses.
Now this. On page 3 of the paper of October 26th, I read 'MP York calls for stronger Parliamentary accountability'. I read the article and my first reaction was, "At last."
It took me back to my schooldays when we used to tease each other using phrases, like " ‘Ons ken' ons(It takes one to know one) and "zelf kennis is een grote schat"(Self-knowledge is a great treasure).
That sounds like: "Yo better wok fo yo money"
