Workshop about supporting special needs children Sept. 5

PHILIPSBURG--The Education Ministry’s Student Support Services Division (SSSD) is organising what is expected to be an interactive and informative workshop entitled “Supporting children with special needs: Café styled conversation,” at University of St. Martin (USM) from 7:00 to 9:00pm September 5.

SSSD urges the public, particularly parents of primary- and secondary-school-age children, to attend the workshop.

The objective of the workshop is to “empower” parents, teachers and the public via an open, relaxed café-styled discussion where they will be able to share personal experiences and practices in living, parenting, teaching and working with this population. In addition to the discussion, the workshop is also expected to provide tips and strategies that attendees can use in moving forward.
