To kick off the New Year, the Dutch Representation in Philipsburg VNP met with 16 members of the Youth Parliament recently.
The programme started in 2011 as part of the St. Maarten Youth Council Association that grooms youth with critical thinking skills while introducing them to the world of government and politics. During the meeting, the Youth Parliament members shared their motivation for joining the programme and spoke about their various activities, while VNP head Chris Johnson spoke about the history of the Dutch Kingdom and answered several questions from the Youth Parliament members
