Vehicles set on fire in Sucker Garden

PHILIPSBURG--Fire Department officials had to rush to Cactus drive in Sucker Garden to deal with three vehicles on fire at the same time. The blaze started close to 5:00pm on Tuesday; the vehicles have been parked at the location for several months now. Fire department officials have no idea how the fire started, however, they suspect that the vehicle in front of the busses caught fire first.IMG 1903

Children were seen playing around the vehicles in the early hours but an investigation has started to find out how the fire started. Residents from the area surrounded the vehicles and tried to put out the fire before the firemen arrived on the scene.IMG 1898

We had three children missing when the incident started, however, we managed to locate the children; luckily nobody was hurt during the incident. We will stay until the fire is completely subdued and assess what took place.”
