UTS pays out NAf. 14.2M

WILLEMSTAD--United Telecommunication Services (UTS) transferred a combined 14.2 million Antillean guilders to its shareholders Curaçao and St. Maarten on October 15 – NAf. 12.4 million to Curaçao and NAf. 1.8 million to St. Maarten.

  It is the first in a series of such payments for a total amount of NAf. 42 million. The other two payments of NAf. 13.9 million each will be made in March and June next year.

  The allocation of the funds between these two Dutch Caribbean countries is based on the division of shares in UTS, of which Curaçao owns 87.5 per cent and St. Maarten 12.5 per cent.
